The Incubator app has no server of its own and collects no data about you. This page says what the apps and this site do handle.

Your Wikimedia account

You sign in on meta.wikimedia.org through OAuth 2.0, in your device's browser. The app never sees your password; it receives a token that lets it edit on your behalf, keeps that token in the device's secure storage, and deletes it when you sign out. You can withdraw the app's access at any time at Special:OAuthManageMyGrants.

Your edits

Everything you publish goes to Wikimedia Incubator under your user name, like any edit made on the website, and is public there under the terms of the Wikimedia Foundation. The app adds nothing of its own except an edit summary and the tag of its OAuth consumer.

What stays on your device

The wiki you chose, your preferences, reminders you turned on and your count of edits made with the app are stored on the device only. Reminders are local notifications; nothing is sent anywhere to schedule them.

Who the app talks to

The apps make requests only to Wikimedia servers: Wikimedia Incubator, Meta-Wiki for sign-in, Wikipedia for sentences to translate, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons and the map service for pictures and maps, and Gerrit for interface translation statistics. Those servers see your IP address and the app's name and version, as the Wikimedia Foundation privacy policy describes. Nothing is sent to anyone else; the apps contain no analytics or advertising code.

Deleting your account

The apps do not create accounts of their own; you sign in with a Wikimedia account. Wikimedia accounts cannot be deleted, because published edits stay credited under the sites' licences, but you can ask for yours to be vanished: renamed, locked and no longer usable. The apps link to the request from the profile screen; you can also make it directly at Special:GlobalVanishRequest on Meta-Wiki. To remove what the app keeps on your device, sign out or uninstall it.

This site

This site runs on Wikimedia Toolforge, whose servers keep the usual access logs; see the Wikimedia Cloud Services terms. The pages set no cookies and load nothing from third parties.
